KEEP YOUR CHEQUE BOOK SAFE
Senior bankers say Cheque is a poisonous snake. It is not only true for bankers but also for yourself. Cheque is the first evidence that you have ordered for money from the bank whether your signature exactly matches or not. So keep your cheque book safe under lock and key.
DO NOT SIGN HERE AND THERE UNNECESSARY
Some people have a habit of signing here and there unnecessarily - on bits of paper, tissue paper, west paper, cereal boxes etc. If you have this habit, quite. Quite this habit right now. You never know who are the fraudsters, even you trusted next desk colleague can be the person or even your son at home. Don't let anyone unnecessary chances of copying your signature.
CHANGE YOUR CARD'S PIN OFTEN
This thing we don't do just due to laziness. It does not take even more than a minute, but we don't do it. Please change your card's pin often. This is very easy task in any ATM machine. Never ever keep the PIN provided by the Bank. That PIN is actually to have your first access with the card.
NEVER KEEP YOUR PIN WRITTEN
Another silly mistake made by many and throwing their money at risk. Never keep your PIN written anywhere in any form. How would you then memorize your PIN? Again, never memorize the PIN, you will certainly forget it someday. Instead set your PIN with such a memorable year of your life that you will never forget before your death. TAKE ACCOUNT STATEMENTS PERIODICALLY
Collect your account statement periodically and check them.
UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION
Always update your information with the Bank. Your present address, contact number(s), profession, etc. Whatever information you provided with your bank account must be updated if they are changed by any how.

World have become modern and so the Banking. Almost all banks in the world now have this technological facility. Whenever any transaction is made in your account, you receive an SMS in your cell phone instantly. This alerts you of your banking transactions. So any unauthorized transaction can be detected and instant action can be taken to save your money at the Bank.
KNOW BANKING, LEARN BANKING/ UNDERSTAND BANKING
Know banking, learn banking and understand banking. Many of us don't care for that. Wrong. Bank is the place where you pile all your labour sweats. So know about it. Learn about banking system. Understand how it functions.
